How To Frost Lemon Cupcakes
A lot of my friends have been asking me to make a recipe tutorial on how to frost lemon cupcakes. I noticed how much they love my lemon cupcakes when I add frosting on top. It actually makes the cupcake more delightful to the eyes and irresistible to the mouth, of course. You may have also tasted perfect lemon cupcakes with frosting from the bakery and wish to also bake them at home. So as a gift from me to you, I will be sharing the methods on how to frost lemon cupcakes.
Steps to follow when frosting lemon cupcakes:
- First, you need to bake the lemon cupcakes. You can check out my website and choose any of the lemon cupcake recipes. Any flavour will be perfect for this as well as any combination of lemon flavour.
- After baking the cupcakes, make sure to cool them first. Allow them to cool for at least 10 to 15 minutes after taking them out of the oven.
- Once they are cooled, dust off any crumbs from the cupcakes.
- Take a spatula and spread the frosting starting from the middle of the lemon cupcakes and spreading it to the edges. This is how it is properly done. That way, the frosting is evenly spread out.
- After spreading the frosting on top of the lemon cupcakes, swirls the icing in a circular motion with your spatula. This will give its pleasing effect on top.
That’s it! Those are the simple steps on how to frost lemon cupcakes. You can also use icing tubes if you have them at home. I use the spatula because I have fun creating the swirls on top of it. I think everybody can do this because it’s very easy. My 12-year old niece actually loves to practice it while baking.
Additional tips:
If you have leftover frosting, you can place it in an air-tight container and store at a room temperature. This can last for three days. I don’t like placing the frosting inside the fridge because it ruins the consistency of the frosting.
Now that you know how to frost lemon cupcakes, I bet you’ll be baking a lot of cupcakes at home!
